Two Shot At West Saint Paul Gas Station: Police
West Saint Paul police are investigating a shooting that happened at 8:48 p.m. on Sunday at Marathon Gas.
WEST SAINT PAUL, MN β West Saint Paul police are investigating a shooting that happened at 8:48 p.m. on Sunday at Marathon Gas, according to a news release posted by the department.
Officers received a report of a woman being shot in the foot, the news release said. When officers arrived, they found a woman shot in a "lower extremity" and a man who had multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Both victims were transported to Regions Hospital, police said. The woman's injuries were non-life-threatening and the man underwent surgery, police said. The man's current conditions are unknown, according to the news release.

Police said that this does not appear to be a random incident and that they believe the two victims were targeted.
More information on the shooting will be released once an arrest is made, police said.

As officers were securing the scene and medical personnel were helping the victims, police said that a group of people confronted first responders and refused to leave the secured scene. A few people tried to take control of a vehicle occupied by one of the victims, police said.
Officers from surrounding agencies were brought in for crowd control, West Saint Paul Police Department said.
