WSP Target Evacuated After Woman Trashes Store: Police

According to officials, she used golf clubs and other merchandise to damage products and fixtures throughout the store.

WEST SAINT PAUL, MN β€” A woman was arrested Tuesday morning after West Saint Paul police say she "trashed" the city's Target location.

She is currently being held at Dakota County Jail on probable cause felony criminal damage to property and misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges, according to the West Saint Paul Police Department.

When officers arrived at the scene, Target employees were evacuating the store for the safety of customers and staff, police said.

The woman was in the electronics department "actively damaging" property, according to police.

She had gone into the store and started throwing and damaging products seemingly at random, police said. According to officials, she used golf clubs and other merchandise to damage products and fixtures throughout the store.

Nobody was hurt during the incident, police said.

The store will remain closed while employees clean up the damage, according to police.
