2 Top Anchors Out At KARE 11 As Layoffs Hit Sports, Weather Desks
Two familiar faces are leaving KARE 11 as the station makes big cuts.
TWIN CITIES, MN — Two of KARE 11’s most recognizable on-air figures announced this week they are leaving the station, marking major changes in its sports and weather coverage.
Sports Director Reggie Wilson revealed in a LinkedIn post that his position is being eliminated, with his last day set for Dec. 31.
"It’s not easy navigating layoffs, especially considering my wife and I are both enduring job loss at KARE in the same year. Now with a newborn at home, the stakes are raised," Wilson wrote. He added that he’s open to new opportunities, noting his Emmy-winning work as a host, interviewer, and storyteller.

Meteorologist Wren Clair confirmed her own exit in a post on Facebook.
"KARE11 and I have agreed to part ways. I thank all my colleagues for their professionalism and hard work. I also thank all the viewers for watching me and supporting me. I look forward to focusing more on my personal life and pursuing scientific careers outside of television," she wrote.

Clair’s departure comes just months after she filed a lawsuit against her former employer, KSTP, accusing the station of years of sexual harassment and retaliation. The suit alleged a culture of misconduct and claimed her firing in February was pretextual. KSTP denied the allegations.
