MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold is joining the Minnesota Twins’ ownership group after Major League Baseball approved the addition of new limited partners to the franchise.
Leipold, through Glick Family Investments, is acquiring a non-controlling, minority interest in the Twins, the team announced. Hicks, a global credit investment firm, is also acquiring a non-controlling, minority stake.
The Pohlad family will retain controlling ownership and responsibility for day-to-day operations.

“As a lifelong Twins fan, I am honored and excited to join the Pohlad family as a steward of this beloved franchise,” Leipold said in a statement. “Like many in the state, some of my favorite memories are times spent watching and cheering for the Twins.”
The Twins said the addition of Leipold and Hicks is intended to strengthen the organization’s ownership base while preserving long-term, family-led control of the franchise.
