TWIN CITIES, MN — Snow is expected late Tuesday night into Wednesday in the Twin Cities metro area, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain will transition to snow after 2 a.m. Wednesday, with 1 to 3 inches possible. Patchy blowing snow is also expected as winds gust up to 40 mph.

Snow is likely again Wednesday morning, with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible before clearing in the afternoon.

Highs will reach the mid-30s, with breezy conditions continuing.
