The City of Minneapolis is supporting Youth Violence Prevention Week 2.0 as summer ends and the school year approaches. Activities and events Aug. 23-29 will encourage the start of a healthy and safe school year.

- Community BBQ hosted by EMERGE North 4 Project Youth 12-3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 EMERGE Career & Technology Center, 1834 Emerson Ave. N. This event will feed the community, build good will between youth and adults, and serve as an opportunity to distribute food and supplies to the community, highlight nonviolence, and promote COVID-19 safety and vaccination information.
