The City’s Public Works Department is leading the design of the public realm infrastructure improvements to transition the former barge shipping terminal site to a mixed-use development with housing, a music venue, commercial and job spaces, a community performing arts center and park space. Improvements will include a multi-modal transportation system and public utilities to support community access to the Upper Harbor Terminal Project and the Mississippi River.
You can learn more about the proposed public realm work on the project website and share your experiences traveling in the area by using an interactive map.
