MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesotans can be done with the extreme heat for the foreseeable future. High temperatures will stay in the 70s and low 80s this week.

Labor Day's high will only be 71 degrees in the Twin Cities metro area.

"Showers likely throughout Thursday with scattered storms possible, with the best chance for strong to severe storms in southern MN," the National Weather Service said.
