Cooling Gel Pads Sold At Target Recalled After Child Burn Report
About 20,000 Hoovy pads sold at Minneapolis-based Target and Walmart were pulled after one child suffered second-degree burns.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Hoovy Cooling Gel Insert Pads for car seats and strollers, sold through Minneapolis-based Target and on Walmart.com, are being recalled nationwide after federal officials warned they pose a burn hazard to children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said about 20,000 pads imported by AMTRADING LLC of Brielle, New Jersey, can become dangerously hot if left in a hot car or direct sunlight.
At least one child suffered second-degree burns on their back that required medical attention, according to the agency.

The black cooling pads, which measure about 16.5 inches long by 14.25 inches wide and feature the Hoovy logo in white on the bottom right corner, were sold at Target stores nationwide, Target.com, and Walmart.com from March through July 2025 for $20 to $25.
Consumers should immediately stop using the pads and contact AMTRADING for a full refund.
