Light Snow In Forecast For This Weekend: MN Weather

TWIN CITIES, MN — This weekend in the Twin Cities metro will feature rain and a chance for light snow. Highs will approach 40 degrees and lows will be in the mid-20s.

"A messy storm system will bring rain, snow, and strong winds to close the weekend," the National Weather Service said. "Minor snow accumulation possible."

This Afternoon: A slight chance of rain between 2pm and 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 19. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Saturday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 45. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 38. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain likely before 1pm, then snow, possibly mixed with rain. Temperature falling to around 36 by 5pm. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
