Kenilworth Channel will be open on weekends only for the rest of the season due to work on the Southwest Light Rail Transit (SWLRT) project and a project to repair the channel boundary between Burnham Road Bridge and Cedar Lake.

The channel will close Monday, Aug. 23 through Friday, Aug. 27 and Monday, Aug. 30 through Friday, Sept. 3 for SWLRT construction.

Kenilworth Channel will be open Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 4-6, then close for the rest of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 7 for a Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board project to repair the channel boundary. The channel will reopen for winter recreation, weather permitting.
