Due to Low COVID Community Levels in Hennepin County according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, masks are recommended but no longer required in Minneapolis park buildings.

Mask policies are based on the CDC’s COVID-19 Community Levels and COVID Data Tracker. Masks are recommended for park employees and visitors who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, including those who are at high-risk for COVID or choose to wear a mask based on personal preferences.
Whenever possible, people should continue practicing adequate physical distancing of at least six feet, unless they are part of the same household group.
