MINNEAPOLIS — Expect a slow commute this morning across the Twin Cities, southern Minnesota, and western Wisconsin, as heavy snow and gusty winds create significant travel disruptions.

As of 6 a.m., official National Weather Service snowfall reports show 7.4 inches at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 6.5 inches at the NWS office in Chanhassen, 1.0 inches in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and 0.8 inches in St. Cloud.
