'Take Shelter Now': Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Twin Cities Metro

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for most of the Twin Cities metro area.​

TWIN CITIES, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for most of the Twin Cities metro area. The storm threats include up to 70 mph winds and quarter-sized hail.

"Multiple large trees have been downed and power outages have been reported. TAKE SHELTER NOW," the NWS-Twin Cities posted on social media.

The warning currently lasts through at least 8:15 p.m.
