Top 5 MN CEOs Made $211M Combined In 2024: Report

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Minnesota’s top five public company CEOs earned a combined $211 million in 2024, according to the Star Tribune’s annual executive compensation review.

Four of them made more than $50 million, including one who retired partway through the year.

Charles Kummeth, who stepped down as CEO of Bio-Techne in February, led the list for the second year in a row with $59.4 million in total pay.

• Retired in February, stayed with company through July 2024, but still led the list.

2. David Ossip

• Total pay: $57.3 million
• Pay ratio: 274:1
• Nearly 9x increase over last year.

3. James Cracchiolo
Ameriprise Financial

• Total pay: $56.1 million
• Pay ratio: 191:1
• Longtime top earner in the state.

4. Beth Wozniak
nVent Electric

• Total pay: $22.1 million
• Pay ratio: 185:1
• Up 90% from the year before.

5. Andrew Witty
UnitedHealth Group

• Total pay: $16.4 million
• Pay ratio: 348:1
• Resigned in May 2025.
