Mulberry’s Garment Care to Celebrate Earth Day by Collecting Harsh Household Cleaners

Minneapolis—April 4, 2012—Mulberry’s Garment Care, the Twin Cities only 100 percent toxin-free dry cleaner, will celebrate Earth Day by collecting harsh household cleaners at its five Twin Cities locations from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday, April 22. Individuals may drop off such cleaners and chemicals as bleach, ammonia, disinfectants, deodorizers, scouring powders, glass cleaners, floor cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, and mothballs at no charge during regular store hours. Participating individuals will receive a 20 percent discount off the purchase of any Caldrea or Mulberrys product.
 
Mulberrys has developed a strong reputation for its commitment to the environment. It is one of the only certified professional and environmental dry cleaners in the state; it is the only dry cleaner in the Twin Cities to use pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2) to clean clothes and remove stains—a process approved by both the EPA and Greenpeace; it packages clean garments in biodegradable plastic bags; it hangs clean garments on wooden hangars that may be recycled or reused; and it sells its own line of high-performance, toxin-free home laundry care products.

According to Miller, Mulberrys will properly dispose of all collected items at the Hennepin County Drop-off Facilities for Household Hazardous Waste and Recycling.
