Armed Robbery Attempted Yesterday at Minnetonka Tobacco Store

Minnetonka Police responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Tobacco Store yesterday at 3:30 p.m.

The business is located 13025 Ridgedale Drive.

A lone black male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to Minnetonka Police Chief Chief Mark Raquet. The victim was able to leave the store without complying with the suspect’s demands. The suspect then ran from the store.

Hennepin County Sheriff’s K-9 and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted Minnetonka officers in searching the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No one was injured, and there appears to be no monetary loss at this time. The incident is currently under investigation by the Minnetonka Police Department.
