Cargill To Lay Off 80 Employees In Wayzata As Part Of Restructuring
The layoffs, which include workers at the company's Wayzata Office Center at 15407 McGinty Road West, are scheduled to begin Dec. 31.
WAYZATA, MN — Cargill, Incorporated will permanently lay off about 80 employees from its Wayzata office as part of a companywide business restructuring, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter filed with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The layoffs, which include workers at the company’s Wayzata Office Center at 15407 McGinty Road West, are scheduled to begin Dec. 31, 2025.
According to the WARN filing, all affected employees have been notified at least 60 days in advance and will be offered outplacement services. The company did not specify which positions will be cut, and it’s unknown whether the employees are represented by a union or have bumping rights.

Liz McLoone, a senior specialist with Minnesota’s State Rapid Response Team, is overseeing the state’s assessment of the layoffs.
The Cargill layoffs come on the heels of Target’s announcement that it will cut more than 800 Twin Cities corporate jobs in early 2026 amid a major reorganization.
