Five Things to Know: Roads Being Worked in the City and More
Five things you need to know about Minnetonka today.

1) Contractors started work yesterday on filling and sealing cracks in roads around Minnetonka. Crews started on the eastern edge of the city and will move in a counter-clockwise direction, filling and sealing cracks in areas specified by the city. Vehicles shouldn’t be driven over the cracks immediately after they are filled. Work is expected to take five to six days.
2) Skating lesson classes begin Sept. 13 with the Minnetonka Ice Arena’s All Season Skating School. The program offers instruction for skaters ages 3 and up, including adults. Class information and registration materials are available by calling the Minnetonka Ice Arena at 952-939-8310 or visiting the Ice Arena page. Space is limited.
3) The city of Minnetonka is accepting applications for a natural resource inspector to assist with natural resource permit review and compliance. Applicants must complete a city application form. 4) The final Music in the Park concert takes place Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 7–8:30 p.m., at the outdoor amphitheater at the Minnetonka Civic Center Campus, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka, with a performance by Brio Brass (30-piece, brassy jazz).
5) This year’s Minnetonka Summer Festival on Saturday, June 25 was the second-best ever attended, with the fireworks crowd breaking all previous attendance records.
