Madeline Bloom Wins $1,000 for Minnetonka High School

, 18, of Eden Prairie was presented with a $1,000 check for  by No Name Premium Meats and Seafood.

Bloom was named a finalist in the No Name Original Kid of the Year contest.

Bloom won a $1,000 scholarship prize, a $1,000 donation to her school and other prizes at a special ceremony during the April 29 Twins home game.

Bloom was one of five finalists selected by No Name based on essays submitted by parents and teachers, describing her school performance, community service and extracurricular activities.
