Minnetonka-based Blip Toys Announces New Doll Line

A new toy craze may be beginning.

Minnetonka-based Blip Toys recently announced this month's retail debut of O.O.T.W.(Out of This World); combining the collectable vinyl-mation doll craze with the classic play of dolls.

The company also makes , a line that was featured in McDonalds' Happy Meals in May.

Blip Toys describe each O.O.T.W. girl as having a "dazzling personality as unique as the stars in the galaxy." The Girlaxy, a futuristic place filled with bright lights and funky colors, is their playground. The line leverages low-tech electronic functions to deliver high-tech payoffs thoughtfully designed to reflect each doll's unique personality and resonate with today's kids, according to the toy company.  

The new line of dolls will include an e-Package/QR Code component that allow kids to further connect with each of the characters.

The initial launch will feature five unique small dolls and two pets. Products will be available beginning in late July at retailers nationwide, including Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us and Amazon.
