Minnetonka Intersection Among State's Most Dangerous
The intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 101 ranked 16th on MnDOT's list.

The intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 101 in Minnetonka is the 16th most dangerous in the state, according to a list released last week.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation based the rankings on a weighted average of crash severity over a three-year period. For instance, a minor property damage accident was weighted as one point, while a traffic fatality garnered 70 points.
Minnetonka's sole entrant on the list saw a grand total of 51 crashes from 2008-2010, of which 25 involved only property damage. MnDOT reports 19 of the total crashes saw minor injuries, six involved moderate injuries and one was classified as a severe injury. There were no fatal crashes at the intersection during the period.
