Minnetonka's Night For Neighbors Promotes Safety
The neighborhood who donates the most food by weight will win 40 cruise passes on the Queen of Excelsior.

Each summer, the the hosts Minnetonka’s Night for Neighbors on the first Tuesday in August. This year's annual event where neighbors can get together to promote safety is Aug. 2.
Last year there were more than 170 events in Minnetonka and event organizers hope for an increase this year. Minnetonka police will partner with the and host a food drive for residents hosting events. More than 7,300 pounds of food was donated last year. The neighborhood with the most food donated by weight will win the prize of 40 cruise passes on the Queen of Excelsior.
The event will also feature a coloring contest for kids. The two winning entries will receive a personal ride to school from the police chief in a police vehicle.

The Police Department provides all registered events one bag filled with a variety of items to be used at the event. The bag will contain name tags, stickers, tattoos, flashing buttons, gift certificates and items that can be used for raffle prizes.
