Minnetonka's UnitedHealth Sees Jump in Profit
Medicare cuts could endanger the company's profits in the long term, however.

With enrollment increasing, Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth Group, Inc. saw an eight percent jump in profit during the second quarter of this year, according to the St. Cloud Times.
Lower-than-expected use of healthcare services also kept payouts down, the paper reports.
With cuts to the federal Medicare Advantage program, however, a rise in the company's profits could face threats in 2014 and beyond.
