Tickets on Sale for Minnetonka Theatre

Tickets are now on sale for ’s 2011-2012 season, including Dracula–The Musical, The Sound of Music, Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music and Disney’s Beauty & the Beast.

Minnetonka Theatre is also marking its 10th year with Artistic Director Kent Knutson by offering season subscriptions for the first time ever and selling tickets through a new interactive online ticketing system.

The award-winning theatre is coming off of one of its most exciting years yet: After starring in Minnetonka Theatre’s Minnesota premiere production of The Phantom of the Opera last spring, senior Ryan McCartan won the National High School Musical Theatre Awards and became a Presidential Scholar of the Arts.

Jody Briskey and Tod Petersen were reunited on stage in Anything Goes, which made a splash as one of Minnetonka Theatre’s most popular summer productions to date. Most recently the first ever Student Summer Stock presented a sold out run of Chicago in the Arts Center’s new Studio Theatre.

The Sound of Music – Holiday musical, presented by Minnetonka Theatre (Dec. 9-18)– Starring Minnetonka Theatre favorites Jen Burleigh-Bents and John Trones.

Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music – Winter play, Presented by MHS (Feb. 17-25)– By Minnesota’s Lee Blessing, this quirky, touching story is not, in fact, about country music.

Disney’s Beauty & the Beast – Spring musical, Presented by MHS (Apr. 20 – May 12)– A classic romantic fairy tale brought to life on stage.
