VIDEO: Whole Foods Market in Minnetonka Opens Doors to Shoppers

Applause greeted opening-day customers Wednesday.

Customers waited at the door until the 9 a.m. opening, walking inside Minnetonka's new Whole Foods Market to the cheer of employees and the sounds of a string quartet.

Whole Foods opened its new 32,000-square-foot store on Wednesday, Oct. 12, next to the Office Depot off Plymouth Road.

Shoppers expressed happiness with the design of the store and the fresh selection of the colorful foods.

The new store filled the space formerly occupied by Circuit City. It's the Twin Cities' third location, joining locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Whole Foods stores feature natural, organic and gourmet foods, produce, baked goods, meats and seafood.
