Woodhill Plaza Project Up for Review Monday

Also: School test scores are out Tuesday.

A plan to revitalize a near-vacant Highway 7 office complex by adding retail space to the lower level could move forward this week.

On Monday, the City Council will consider granting a request to turn the 55,000-square-foot Woodhill Plaza building at 14525 Highway 7 into a mized-use building.

The building has been only about 30 percent occupied for some time. Lakewest Development Co. is asking Minnetonka to rezone the property from an office to commercial site. The main floor would become retail space while the second and third floors would remain as office space.

The Planning Commission earlier this month unanimously voted to recommend that the City Council approve the request, and city staff are also recommending approval.
