1. Moorhead school resource officer returns after safety incidents this fall (inforum.com) — A Moorhead police officer is rejoining Moorhead Area Public Schools as a school resource officer based at the High School Career Academy, following two gun-related incidents there in September. With five new officers sworn in, the department can again staff schools, while the district reviews a recent safety audit it plans to present to the school board Jan. 26.
   

2. MState expands online cannabis courses (kvrr.com) — Moorhead’s MState is broadening its online cannabis certificate offerings, giving local residents more ways to break into Minnesota’s growing cannabis industry without enrolling as full-time students. Through a partnership with Green Flower, the college now offers six non-credit workforce courses covering everything from cultivation and product development to retail sales, legal compliance, and medical marijuana specialization.
   

3. Sheila Ann Willardsen. 82, Sartell (wjon.com) — Moorhead readers may recognize Sheila Ann Willardsen from her years studying education at Concordia College in Moorhead before a long teaching career in North Dakota. The Sartell resident, remembered for her faith, love of learning, and devotion to family, died November 30 at age 82, with services planned December 20 in St. Cloud.
   

4. Concordia-Moorhead tops women's basketball behind third-quarter run (stolaf.edu) — Concordia College in Moorhead stayed unbeaten in MIAC women’s basketball, using a huge third-quarter run to pull away from St. Olaf on Wednesday night. Former Minnesota State University Moorhead player Maya Metcalf led the Cobbers with 24 points as they dominated after halftime and kept control of the conference race.
