• U.S. soldier who earned WWII Medal of Honor accounted for more than 80 years after being killed (cbsnews.com) — A World War II hero from New Ulm, Army Capt. Willibald Bianchi, has finally been accounted for more than 80 years after he was killed as a prisoner of war in the Pacific. Federal specialists used anthropological and DNA analysis to identify his remains, which had been buried as unknown in Hawaii. He will be laid to rest in his Minnesota hometown in May.
