100 Worst Polluters In MN: Northfield Plant Makes The List

NORTHFIELD, MN — One of the 100 worst greenhouse gas polluters in Minnesota is located in Northfield, according to a new report.

The Star Tribune Wednesday published a story that documents the 100 worst greenhouse gas polluters in the state.

The Northfield plant that made the list was:

MOM BRANDS CO - PLANT 2: 39,077 metric tons of CO2 emissions (Food Processing)

In 2019 alone, Minnesota's 100 worst polluters added 40 million metric tons of greenhouse gases into Earth's atmosphere, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.
