
With her children by her side, Ethel Catherine Wieber passed away Sunday evening, November 27, 2011, in her home at Millstream Commons in Northfield.
She was born September 23, 1927 to Frank and Clara (Litchy) Meller and raised in Holdingford , MN on their family farm - the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. Ethel liked to tell stories about Harry and Tony Litchy, her uncles, and how her family survived the depression. She graduated from St. Cloud Business College which then led to employment at Nicols, Dean and Gregg in St. Paul. She married John “Paul” Wieber on June 20, 1953 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford. They first lived in St. Paul and then St. Joseph MN.
She worked for school district 742 from 1971-1997, the last place being Apollo High School in the math department. Ethel liked music, singing, playing her harmonica, and she loved to play cards and travel. She raised three children , Steve (Kate) of St. Cloud , Ann (Gerald) and Dave (Michelle), all of Northfield, and looked forward to loving up her seven grandchildren – Josef and Isaac Wieber, Regina and Dez Young and Lauren, Brant and Rachel Wieber. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her siblings Theodore, Richard, Claudia, Ralph, Victor, Alex and Alice.

Remaining living relatives are Doris Meller (cousin) and Olive Meller (sister-in-law).
Mass of Christian Burial will be .............., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph with Fr. Joseph Fetters officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home.
