Grace Burlage, 7

Grace Ann Ranee Burlage was received into Christ’s loving arms on November 12, 2011.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph, MN, with Rev. Steve Schwartz & Fr. Dennis Dempsey officiating.  A meal will follow the service.  A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, November 18, 2011, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph with Rev. Steve Schwartz officiating. 

Grace was born on November 18, 2003 weighing 7 pounds 7 ounces.  She was born at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake, IA to Greg and Dawn (Hoss) Burlage.  This gift and blessing from God had a generous heart throughout her life.  Grace was an inspiration to everyone she met as she bravely fought a brain tumor for more than five years.     

Grace was baptized at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville, IA with her godparents Ann Burlage and Dwayne & Monica Hoss present.  She attended Sunday School at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph, MN. 

She spent time as a baby and toddler in Estherville, IA and Lakeville, MN.  She attended Randolph Elementary School in Randolph, MN. 

Grace truly enjoyed each and every day, living life to the fullest.  Her favorite activities were whatever she was doing at the time.  Grace touched the lives of countless people during her time with us.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and community. 

She is survived by her grandparents, parents, siblings, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Grace’s paternal grandparents, Bill and Jean Burlage, reside in Amana, IA.  Her mother, Dawn Burlage, and brothers, Austin and Mason, reside in Northfield, MN.  Grace’s father, Greg Burlage, his wife Lisa, and her daughters, Larissa and Erin, reside in Bemidji, MN. 

Grace was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Ranee Hoss of Spirit Lake, IA. 

In lieu of flowers, Grace’s family requests that memorial donations be sent to “The Grace Burlage Memorial Fund” at White Rock Bank, PO Box 548, Cannon Falls, MN 55009.  Donations will be utilized for funeral expenses and memorials to organizations that touched Grace’s heart during her treatments.
