John Maakestad, age 83 of Northfield, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012. He was Professor Emeritus in Art at St. Olaf College where he taught for many years.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 21st at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield with a visitation Saturday 1 hour prior to Services at the Church.
John is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Erik of Conway, Arkansas, Jon and wife Bev Turbin of Excelsior, Tom and wife Anna of Marine on St Croix, Rolf and wife Nancy of Minneapolis; sister Solveig (Richard) Beckmen of Northfield; and 5 grandchildren. A complete obituary will follow.
