
Lee Alan Mahachek was born November 21, 1963, in Minneapolis, to Roger and Beverly (Smith) Mahachek. He was baptized at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church and attended school in Minneapolis and Richfield. Because of his profound handicap, at age 10 he moved to West St. Paul to live at Dakota Communities, Inc. He has spent most of his life living and working with Dakota Communities. For the past several years he has been involved with Midwest Special Services, spending time being creative.
Survivors include his mother, Bev of Northfield; his brother and sister-in-law, Jon & Kris of Richfield; his nephew & niece, Richard & Rebecca; and his friends and advocates: Angie Mattson of Mendota Heights and Hammed Bakare of Brooklyn Park. He was preceded in death by his father Roger on April 24, 2003.
Lee passed away on his 48th birthday, Monday, November 21, 2011, at his home in Eagan.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
