MADD Recognition

MADD has many wonderful Chapters throughout the state that are run strictly by volunteers. Through those chapters they recruit volunteers to help them implement activities on a local level. One of our chapters as called to our attention the dedication of one of its members. This person has volunteered at its local victim impact panels for over 12 years. His presentations include DWI laws and multiple offenses, along with demonstrations with the participants interacting and personal experiences of crashes. This volunteer was also an active MADD Board member for many years. He is currently the Safe & Sober coordinator for Rice County, he represents the Sheriff’s Office with the Rice County MOD Squad, and actively participates on the Rice County Safe Communities Coalition. We are pleased to recognize Sgt. Mark Hlady with the Rice County Sheriff’s Office.
