Seven middle schoolers participated in the 2012 National High School Chess Tournament held in Minneapolis April 13-15.

Team 1 (Under 800 rating) of Jasper, Jackson, Christof and Evan took 10th place. The first 25 teams received team trophies. Jasper also received an individual trophy for placing 20th.

Team 2 (Unrated players) of Gus, Henry and Leif took 25th place and received a team trophy.
Daniel Cloherty also represented the HS in the Under 1200 division.
