May 15th is the deadline for paying or postmarking your first half 2012 property tax installment to avoid penalty.
Payments may be mailed or paid in person at the Rice County Auditor/Treasurer's Office in the Rice County Government Services Building located at 320 Third Street N.W. in Faribault or at the Northfield Satellite Office located in Northfield City Hall at 801 Washington Street. Payments may also be made online at www.co.rice.mn.us or by phone by calling 1-800-2PAYTAX using jurisdiction code 3321. A convenience fee will be applied to your payment for this service.
Quarterly or semiannual automatic payment options are now available. Upon completion and submission of the form found on the Rice County website (www.co.rice.mn.us), the Rice County Auditor/Treasurer's Office will automatically deduct your tax payment from your account on the prescribed dates for the plan in which you enroll.
