Authorities Searching for Northfield Man Who Fell Off Eau Claire Bridge into Chippewa River

Wisconsin authorities are searching for a Northfield college student after a man was seen falling off a bridge into the Chippewa River on Friday.

Police believe the man may be David Patrick Rodgers, 20, a student at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the Star Tribune is reporting.

Witnesses told police that a man matching Rodgers' description fell off a campus pedestrian bridge around 10:45 p.m. Friday.

Rodgers was missing from his dorm room.

UW-Eau Claire police are still searching for Rodgers and are asking the public to share any information about his whereabouts by calling 715-836-2222.

Police described him as a 5-foot-10-inch, 168-pound Caucasian with brown eyes. He was last seen with khaki pants and a white T-shirt with the words “No Obama."
