Challenge Accepted: We Must Defeat Lakeville (Patch)

Well, isn't that cute.

Derrick Williams, the 8-foot-tall (only a slight exaggeration) editor of Lakeville Patch has to Northfield Patch and the rest of the Dakota County Patches.

The challenge? Supremacy when it comes to Facebook support.

You see, Northfield Patch has been well ahead of its sister sites for some time. With the great support of Northfielders and all those who love Northfield, we're coming up on 900 Faceook Likes.

Lakeville? 606. The next closest? Apple Valley Patch with 467 Likes.

But Derrick's a crafty gent. He's long covered the happenings of Lakeville and runs in the right circles, so there's no underestimating what this cloud-kisser can accomplish.

There's also no telling what level he's willing to stoop to—he's already compared me to a video game villain from the 1990s. 

So, people of Northfield, let's just put Derrick in his place and widen the gap between our respective Facebook pages.
