City Considers Roundabout At Jefferson Rd/Pkwy Intersection: Report

The idea of putting a roundabout in the intersection will be further discussed at a future city council meeting.

NORTHFIELD, MN — The city of Northfield is considering adding a roundabout at the intersection of Jefferson Road and Jefferson Parkway, according to a report by KYMN Radio.

At a meeting Tuesday, City Council heard a presentation from City Engineer Dave Bennett and a traffic engineer from SEH Engineering, the report said.

SEH Engineering conducted a study of the intersection and surrounding area and determined that if nothing is done, it will become a "problematic intersection" by 2025 and will be over capacity and fail by 2045, according to the report.
