Council: Opposes Voter ID, Delays Refuse Contract

The Council:
- passed a resolution (4-0-1) opposing the proposed constitution amendment for voter identification. Mayor Mary Rossing and Councilors Betsey Buckheit, Ivan Imm and Erica Zweifel voted yes. Councilor Rhonda Pownell abstained and Councilor Suzie Nakasian was absent.
- discussed and delayed a decision on the refuse contract. Currently, the city has a contract with Waste Management but is also considering a proposal from Dick's Sanitation.
- reviewed department budgets.
