I bought this camera shortly after Canon introduced the 5D Mark II three years ago. It's a fantastic image-capture machine for both stills and video. Two weeks ago, I sent it to the Canon Factory Service facility for a complete inspection, cleaning and calibration. (Documents available upon request) According to the CFS technician, the shutter has 44,540 actuations. That's less than half of its expected life.
