UPDATED: Head-on Crash Near Northfield Leaves One Driver Dead, Other Hospitalized
The crash occurred at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 86, just west of Iberia Avenue.

Updated, May 3, 2:47 p.m. : The man killed Tuesday in a head-on collision died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to a press release from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
The colision ocurred at 6:43 a.m. on the 9200 block of 280th Street West, and Atahan Atay of Princeton Junction, N.J., was declared dead at 6:58 a.m.

Original story, May 1: A 31-year-old man from Princeton Junction, N.J., was killed Tuesday morning when his car collided head-on with a pickup truck in Eureka Township near Northfield.
At the time of the crash, at the time of the crash, Atahan Atay was driving westbound on County Road 86, the Star Tribune is reporting.

The driver of the pickup truck, Alan D. Benson, 51, of New Market, was taken by helicopter to Regions Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Dakota County Sheriff's Office has not yet said which vehicle left its lane.
