MAP: Night to Unite 2012 Comes to Northfield

Northfield continues its August tradition with the third annual Night to Unite this evening.

Groups throughout the city are hosting neighborhood gatherings as part of a nationwide effort to get to know your neighbors and emergency officials.

This year, 11 groups registered with the city to host gatherings, which is up from seven last year. In the past, each group has been treated to visits from , EMTs, ambulances, firefighters and a Northfield fire engine.

Night to Unite's goal is to celebrate and strengthen neighborhood and community partnerships. It is sponsored by the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association, AAA of Minnesota/Iowa and local law enforcement communities.
