Meet Your New Northfield Reporter

Hi everybody!

My name is Morgan Reddekopp and I am the new local reporter/editor for Patch in Northfield. I started at Patch in February covering Eagan, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Woodbury, and Mendota Heights. Patch has grown a lot during that time, so we got a third Minnesota reporter to cover Washington County, allowing me to tackle more of Dakota County, including Northfield.

A little about me: I grew up in Eagan before going to college at Winona State University, majoring in Creative Digital Media and double minoring in Journalism and Creative Writing. I've always loved writing, but WSU's school newspaper the Winonan introduced me to my love of journalism and pushed me to further pursue my passions. I am very excited to be back and reporting in the community I grew up in!

When I'm not writing, I can be found at a DND campaign, painting or drawing, or at home with my cat. I love hiking at Lebanon Trails, where I also enjoy taking photos. One day, I hope to publish my poetry manuscript, and also learn how to stop accidentally killing my plants.
