MN 2-Year-Old Dies After Choking On Grape

NORTHFIELD, MN — The Northfield community is mourning after a 2-year-old resident died choking on a grape. Abner Ezequiel died Saturday at Northfield Hospital.
"Abner's time with us, though brief, was marked by his joyful spirit and a smile that could light up a room," read his obituary. Abner was affectionately known as "Chubby" or "Oso."
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bierman, Benson & Langehough Funeral Home and Crematory in Northfield.

"The doors are open to anyone who wants to come and give their condolences to my family," wrote Vanya Olivo, a relative, on GoFundMe.
Olivo said her family is mostly Spanish-speaking and has been helping them out as much as possible as a bilingual speaker.
