The game brought in more than $1,500 to support Northfield families fighting cancer.

Northfield High School's faculty basketball team eked out a 58-54 overtime victory over the student team in the school's annual charity match on Tuesday.

Students and staff raised more than $1,500 for Northfield families fighting cancer, the Northfield News reported. The yearly game has brought in almost $20,000 since it started in 2003.

“They all had fun and it was a good experience, and it’s a great cause,” senior Kellen Robideau, coach of the student team, told the paper. “There are a whole bunch of families that need it, which is a tough time. But it’s a fun thing for all of us to do. This is the best event the high school activities has.”
