Northfield School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacation

NORTHFIELD, MN — The first day of school in Northfield is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Northfield District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/27 - 8/30: Staff Development Days
• 8/31: Teacher Preparation Day

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/4: First Day of School

October

• 10/18 - 10/19: No School (MEA)

November

• 11/5: No School (Teacher Preparation Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/20 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break, New Year's Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/25: No School (Teacher Preparation Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Staff Development Day, Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/25 - 3/29: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/1: No School (Teacher Preparation Day)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/2: Graduation
• 6/7: Last Day of School (Dismissal Two Hours Early)
