Northfield Schools Canceled Ahead Of Snow Storm

A winter storm warning is in effect for much of the Twin Cities metro.

NORTHFIELD, MN — All Northfield schools are canceled Friday due to the impending snow storm.

"The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy snow beginning early Friday afternoon. Major travel impact is anticipated," Northfield Public Schools said in a message posted to its website. "All classes and activities are canceled for the day. This is not an e-Learning Day."

A winter storm warning is in effect for much of the Twin Cities metro from noon Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday.
