• Huskies unable to fend off Raiders in 3rd period to lose 4-0 (southernminn.com) — Northfield’s Raiders boys hockey team shut out Owatonna 4-0, breaking a scoreless tie with a third-period power-play goal and adding three more to seal the rivalry win. The Raiders dominated shots and earned another Big 9 victory, with a rematch against Owatonna set for Thursday, Feb. 5 in Northfield. 
• Dr. Bryce Binstadt Takes Rheumatology Research Foundation's Reins (the-rheumatologist.org) — Northfield gets a brief spotlight as Carleton College is noted as the place where new Rheumatology Research Foundation president Dr. Bryce Binstadt first connected research and medicine. Now based at the University of Minnesota, he’s leading national efforts to fund rheumatology research, support trainees, and respond to federal funding challenges, including new partnerships and emergency grants for early-career investigators.
